Debra Minnema Dingman, BA Owner: The Write Mind   Discovering a passion for journalism on the staff of her middle school newspaper, Dingman has been writing for newspapers, magazines, and newsletters for 40 years. She was already a popular newspaper columnist for a large Northern California newspaper before graduating with her BA from the Department of Communications at CSU, Sacramento.   She has been a reporter, editor and publisher while winning awards from the California Newspaper Publishers Association and the Junior Association of Community Colleges. She has also won media awards from non-profit organizations, clubs, and schools for her focus on families and human interest stories.   Dingman is a mother of three and owned a thriving children’s clothing and toy store for many years while freelancing and offering business consulting. She was a columnist in a national family magazine, wrote a weekly business column on DixonPatch.com, and continues to write a Sunday column for the Dixon Tribune titled, 'Life's Too Short.'   Currently, this journalist and author, is a 25-year Dixon resident who has experienced year-long adventures in Dallas, Texas, and Los Angeles, Calif. Her book, Learning A+ Living--Adventures & Rewards of a Mom Entrepreneur, is published by WestBow Press and is available on Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and on this website under the 'Book' tab.

Small Town Expert

  Dingman was raised in a small, northern california agricultural community and chose to raise her family with her husband in one similar. They are both active members in the local Kiwanis Club and donate tons of time to various causes including the Downtown Business Association, the Chamber of Commerce, and their church. Besides helping business owners succeed, her other powerful passion is helping families grow stronger through Family Life’s Weekend to Remember Marriage Conferences.
