Debra Minnema Dingman, BA Owner: The Write Mind Discovering a passion for journalism on the staff of her middle school newspaper, Dingman has been writing for newspapers, magazines, and newsletters for 40 years. She was already a popular newspaper columnist for a large Northern California newspaper before graduating with her BA from the Department of Communications at CSU, Sacramento. She has been a reporter, editor and publisher while winning awards from the California Newspaper Publishers Association and the Junior Association of Community Colleges. She has also won media awards from non-profit organizations, clubs, and schools for her focus on families and human interest stories. Dingman is a mother of three and owned a thriving children’s clothing and toy store for many years while freelancing and offering business consulting. She was a columnist in a national family magazine, wrote a weekly business column on DixonPatch.com, and continues to write a Sunday column for the Dixon Tribune titled, 'Life's Too Short.' Currently, this journalist and author, is a 25-year Dixon resident who has experienced year-long adventures in Dallas, Texas, and Los Angeles, Calif.
